Adazu Cipsi is biggest producer of potato chips in Baltic states. Investing in quality of products and increasing process quality has led to logic result, that Adazu cipsi has completely automatized their production with PERUZA solutions.
Orkla Latvija origins starts in 1971 where in local factory in Adazi began a production of potato straws named after Russian capital city Moscow – “Maskava”.
After 20 years, in 1991, was established the company PERUZA automation. The journey started with a project of a fish drying tunnel, that was successful, resulting in many requests from fish processors that lead PERUZA automation into the direction – global manufacturers of fish processing equipment.
With the acquired experience and knowledge PERUZA automation tested it’s strenght in other food processing fields. In early 2018 the first deal was signed with Orkla Latvija factory in Adazi.
Meet the fully automated robot packing line for chips!
PERUZA automation together with ABB robots solved a limited space challenge, by moving the empty box handling system to the top of the packing line. It consists of 5 robot stations that replaced 2-3 manual processing operators and they can process up to 140 packs in a minute!
Robots have unique customized grippers and are provided with box folder for the product. Operator chooses any type of pre-programmed packs in control panel and this is how “Adazu Cipsi” are packed!
